Homework week beginning Monday 14th January 2019.

Our spellings will be random words from the Year 5 and year 6 statutory spelling list which I sent home before Christmas.
On Friday there will be a maths sheet linked to the work we have covered during the week, this should be completed and returned on Friday 25-1-19.
For Art the children need to bring in coloured magazines. We will be cutting these up so they will not be returned home, thank-you for your help in this matter.

Due to new rules and regulations we are no longer allowed to take photographs of the children on our mobile phones, therefore i will no longer be posting any photos on this blog, I am very sorry.

Homework week beginning 8th January 2019

Firstly can I take this opportunity of wishing you all a Happy New Year. I hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas and New Year with your family and friends.
It is lovely to be back together as Year 6A and all the children seem happy and rested after their holiday.
On Monday 14th January 2019 we will be having a spelling test on random words from the first half of the statutory Year 5 and Year 6 spelling words which I sent home before Christmas. We have been practising in class this week and everyone is doing well, so keep practising over the weekend.

On Friday 11th January I will send home a maths sheet which is based on the numeracy we have been working on in class this week. This should be completed and handed in on Friday 18th January.

In our daily mental maths we are working on doubling 2 digit numbers and rounding numbers to the nearest 1000.

Happy New Year to you all! I hope you and your families have had a lovely Christmas.

On Friday 11th January 2019 we will be having an afternoon where we enjoy fun and games with our team. Therefore your child can wear their house colour t shirt, or socks, or hat, anything in their team colour.
Thank you for your support from Miss Julie x

REMEMBER!!! FRIDAY 21st December 2018.

Dear Parents

Just to remind you that on Friday 21st December 2018 all the children can come to school in street clothes. They do not need to bring money BUT if they could bring some food to donate to others less fortunate than ourselves we would be very grateful.

REMEMBER!!!! We have our Christmas Concert on Friday 21st December at 11:30 am in the Chaucer theatre, we look forward to seeing you there, the children have been working very hard and look forward to presenting their concert to you.

Also some students in Secondary are collecting used (but in good condition) toys to share with children on the island who are less fortunate than themselves. If your child has a toy which they no longer play with we would be very pleased to receive them.

May I take this opportunity of thanking you for all your support and hard work this year and I hope you all have a happy Christmas.
